Get your stories of Trowbridge waterways down on screen to be in with a chance to win some special prizes

DO you have a favourite story or memory concerning one of Trowbridge's waterways?

If so, then the Canal and River Trust want to hear from you.

Trowbridge have a couple of main waterways which flow through the town or alongside it – the River Avon, the River Biss and the Kennet and Avon Canal.

And, if you can remember long, hot summer days from years back spent canoeing or sailing a narrowboat on any of these waterways, or something funny which happened near the rivers and canal, then get it down on your computer screen.

The Trust have organised a writing competition which will be judged by acclaimed poet and author Ian McMillan and which has some special prizes that come courtesy of celebrity comedian and canal fan Stephen Fry.

Write your tales of time spent on or alongside the canals and rivers of Trowbridge in three hundred words or less and submit your story on the Canal and River Trust website of
